Independent Bookstore Day 2021

Independent Bookstore Day 2021

Join us for this annual celebration of all things #Indie... Learn more and sign up via our Eventbrite event page!

We are SO excited to be celebrating Independent Bookstore Day with you this year... this is our first real IBD party since we opened in June 2019 and last year's party was significantly tempered by covid19. We will still have ALL of our safety precautions in place so that we can keep our Turning The Page family safe, but we are thrilled to be throwing a bit more of a party this year.

This year's celebration will feature:

  • Story Times on the Hour - fabulous books read to you either in the bookshop or via FB (and often both simultaneously!) by dear friends in our community, such as our esteemed Superintendent Joe Kobza, Candidate for State Representative Nick Kapoor, and beloved retired Kindergarten teacher Jennifer Heitzke! More readers are being added to the lineup every day... watch this space for updates!
  • Swag - we are proud to be bringing you some #IBD Exclusives, available only at indie bookshops on this magnificent day... check our website for details on the types of products available. Or, better yet, come on over. This is the way. :)
  • Sales - We will, of course, be bringing our Spin & Win wheel of fun into full play on this day... if you don't know what it is, you have clearly been missing out, and will need to stop by and check it out!
  • Special Guests - We are over the moon that one of our friends and favorite authors, Tommy Greenwald, will be joining us to talk about his recently released book Rivals at 2:00 pm! You may know Tommy from some of his other titles, such as the Charlie Joe Jackson series, the Crime Biters series, the Project Z series, Game Changer, The Real Us, or Hooked... Please join us *in person* for a talk/conversation about Rivals and book signing, and feel free to bring one of your other books that you purchased at Turning The Page previously for an autograph!
